Greta, The Old Lady On The Phoenix City Council, Scared Robert Sarver Straight Into Tweeting Out The Suns Are Staying In Phoenix

So there was some news out in Phoenix yesterday. I had blogged how Suns fans were staging an arena-wide protest against Robert Sarver and the fact that he was threatening the city by taking the Suns to Seattle or Las Vegas if he didn’t get money for renovations to Talking Stick Resort Arena.

Then Hubbs blogged about the scariest and best lady in the entire world. Greta, who is on the Phoenix City Council, absolutely blasted Robert Sarver with the line ‘he’s so tight he squeaks when he walks.’ Just absolute gold from Greta.

There was so much anger in Greta’s voice that it drove the fear of God directly into Robert Sarver and his tight pockets. So much that he almost immediately put this tweet out talking about how he never planned on taking the Suns out of Phoenix. You know, typical scumbag behavior for a guy that is one of the worst owners in sports. If that wasn’t enough the Suns also put out this statement, which is one of the funniest hostage tweets I’ve seen:

I feel bad for the social media manager that had to send that out. There’s no way they actually wanted to. That reads exactly like a hostage tweet. I say we let Greta take the team over. Let her handle free agent signings and the draft. There’s no way she does worse than Sarver. Plus, let’s not act like she wouldn’t just scare people into signing with the Suns with insults left and right. I need more Greta in my life.
