You Can Make Big Bucks In China Snitching On Porn Watchers

Surfing for smut in China just got quite a bit more, well, lucrative.

The Chinese government is offering big payouts to people who snitch on porno. As of this month, the country’s heavy-hitting anti-porn task force is offering up the US equivalent of $86,000 — almost exactly the average annual salary there — to anyone who reports on NSFW content.

Chinese authorities have been using this tattletale tactic successfully — offering cash to ensure a cleaner internet — since 2009. But this latest price hike is serious, effectively doubling the reward to vigilantes, according to Tech in Asia.

$86K is no small beans. This makes me think there’s a whole job field in China for those try to find porn watchers & turn them in. Like Dog the Bounty Hunter goes Zhang the Boner Punter. Perhaps even a whole genre of crime shows will spring from it.

Someone has been watching porn at the Liu residence. Is it the elderly grandfather or the surly teen raging through puberty?!

Getting caught watching porn is crappy enough (folks… remember to turn that bluetooth speaker off if it’s elsewhere in the house) but to get caught & have someone else make a year’s salary off it? Brutal.

This also made me curious about sex lives in China. With the possibility for arrests due to porn viewing & those utilizing prostitution, many are likely afraid to partake. And with porn so frowned upon what were the attitudes towards sex there? Think that also shows how prevalent it is here that I can’t imagine a culture without it.

The best info I could find was an in-depth survey from 2010. Things have surely shifted since then but it was interesting nonetheless:

1. 57.3% of men have had 5 sex partners or less.

2. For women, this is 77.6%.

3. 7.7 % of men and 3.3% of women have had more than 30 bed partners. (crushin’ it!)

4. 40.5% of men have multiple sex partners (at the same time). (congrats!)

5. 25.4% of men feel that oral sex is an important part of their sex lives. (This can’t be right, it’s gotta be higher.)

6. 6.7% of men has sex every day.

7. More than half of the women (51.7%) feel that foreplay time is too short. (Amen.)

8. 16% of women have used sex toys. (84% are liars then.)

9. Insecure? 5.7% of the men worry about their sexual competence.

10. Viagra is regularly used by 3% of the men.

11. 2.2% of men stick to one position when having intercourse. (Really mixin’ it up.)

12. 50.3% of women has forced herself to make love to her partner at some point in her life. (We’re tired, damnit.)

13. A woman’s orgasm is the men’s responsibility, 78% of men believe. (Solid agree!)

14. More than half of the men (52.3%) does not have intercourse for more than ten minutes.

15. …and: 42.8% of the ladies cannot climax within ten minutes. (Quite the pickle.)

16. On threesomes: 2.8% of men and 7.4% of women have only tried a 2 men/1 women threesome

17. 22.7% of men and 1.8% of women have only tried a 2 women/1 men threesome.

18. Never tried any type of threesome at all: 73,7% of men and 71.7% of women.

19. 74% of men has never been with a prostitute.

20. 10.9% of men have been with a prostitute 1 to 5 times, 5.7% 6-10 times, 5.2% 11-20 times and 2.6% 21-30 times.

21. 1.6% of men have paid for sex more than 30 times.

A more recent study from last year notes that sex & open-mindedness about it is on the rise there & that generally people lead very satisfying lives in the bedroom. I’d be interested to hear how we stack up but I’m guessing us ladies are on the same page about #s 7 & 12.
