Kanye West Got Called Out By A Broadway Actor For Being On His Phone During A Show

(CNN) Cher, Kanye West has still got you babe. West was called out by one of the actors in the new Broadway bio musical “The Cher Show” after the rapper was spotted in the audience on his phone during Monday night’s opening performance. Jarrod Spector, who portrays Sonny Bono in the musical about Cher’s life and career, tweeted about West and proper theater etiquette. “Hey @kanyewest so cool that you’re here at @TheCherShow!” Spector wrote. “If you look up from your cell phone you’ll see we’re doing a show up here. It’s opening night. Kind of a big deal for us. Thanks so much.” West attended the show with his wife, Kim Kardashian West, a well-known Cher fan. Kardashian West has dressed as Cher for Halloween and in May traveled to Las Vegas to see the 72-year-old singer perform.

Sooooooooo whose side are we supposed to be on here? The pretentious Broadway actor or the narcissistic phone-obsessed Kanye West? It’s a tough choice because they’re both kinda being assholes. Kanye probably shouldn’t have been on his phone but how big of a dick do you have to be to call someone out for being on their phone? You know what? I’m going with Kanye West. I’m on his side here. Yeah he’s an asshole and yeah he’s annoying and yeah he’s had a rough year and blah blah blah but I’ll be damned if I’m gonna be on the anti-phone side. I’ll never ever side with someone being like, “Hey, get off your phone pal.” Those people suck and have yet to adapt to today’s world. People have smart phones now and we’re going to be on them all the time. Deal with it. That’s just how society is now.

Here’s the thing about smart phones, they’re awesome. The things you can do on a smart phone are far more interesting than anything that’s going on in the real world. Nobody wants to talk about it because you’re not “living in reality” when you’re on your phone but it’s simply way more fun to be on your phone. It has everything. Your phone can make you laugh, cry and cum. Sometimes all at the same time. Being on your phone is certainly more fun than being at a Broadway show and that’s coming from a guy who loves Broadway shows. I’ve been to Book of Mormon by myself and School of Rock with Caleb and Caleb’s mom. I felt cultured but would I have rather been staring at the screen of my phone looking up random serial killer facts on Wikipedia? Of course! So this Broadway actor shouldn’t be mad at Kanye West, he should be mad at society and maybe Apple.
