Vincent Trocheck Suffers Gruesome Leg Injury Against Ottawa Tonight

Florida Panthers forward Vincent Trocheck suffered a pretty gruesome leg injury tonight against the Ottawa Senators after going hard into the boards. Trocheck had to be stretchered off the ice.

The injury did not look good for the Panthers assistant captain and significant time without Trocheck would not be good for Florida who currently sits at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with 17 points. This is going to have some pretty big implications on the Panthers going forward and could change the whole outlook of their season.

The 25-year-old has 13 points (3g, 10a) in 17 games this season. Trocheck also centers the second line in the middle of Jonathan Huberdeau and Nick Bjugstad and plays on the first PP unit. So he’s a pretty crucial part of this Panthers team.

Hopefully he gets lucky, but my guess is that he is going to be out for a good amount of time here going forward. Wishing for the best though for a former Spittin’ Chiclets guest.
