Patrick Mahomes Admitting He Likes Ketchup On His Steak And Macaroni & Cheese May Have Just Ended Any Chance The Chiefs Had Of Winning The Super Bowl

What an awful break for Chiefs fans. After years of searching for a franchise quarterback and thinking that they finally found a stud, a nugget like this drops from the clouds a few days before a potential Super Bowl showdown that can ruin everything the Chiefs have built.

Look, I loooooove ketchup for its taste as much as its versatility and I think that the “Ketchup is overrated” crowd that has formed on the internet are just the typical asshole contrarians looking to badmouth yet another beloved staple of humanity. But there is such thing as too much ketchup and putting it on certain foods is a crime. You simply cannot trust the decision-making of someone that willingly puts ketchup on their mac and cheese. Red flag city and straight up unhinged behavior. It doesn’t matter if we are talking poor person Kraft blue box mac and cheese or fancy breadcrumbs on top homemade mac and cheese, which are both delicious in their own right. Ketchup shouldn’t go anywhere near that delectable side dish. I don’t know if the Kermit voice and past NFL QB busts that put up hollow passing numbers at Texas Tech allowed this to be swept under the rug for this long. But Mahomes making it through the super thorough draft interview process, a year on the bench, and this far into his breakout season is actually impressive.

The worst part of all this is that Mahomes is a Chief and his coach is Andy Reid. We all know that the relationship between an NFL coach and his starting quarterback is the most important thing for an NFL franchise. If this happened with Sean McVay or Bill Belichick, those coaches may have been able to work things out. But there is no way Big Red is going to be able to overlook this egregious crime against a Hall of Fame food AND Hall of Fame condiment, which means I doubt Reid will ever be able to truly trust Pat Mahomes ever again, which spells trouble for the Chiefs since the playoffs were already Andy Reid’s thunderdome.

UPDATE: Apparently Mahomes likes ketchup on his steak too?

I feel like Pat Mahomes is just Chaps’ing us now with these awful food takes, because a noted steak guy like Andy Reid may actually cry after seeing those tweets. I am honestly waiting for Mahomes to drop the hammer and say he dips his Halloween candy in ketchup as well. Anyway, I guess it’s time to start mentally prepping for the chaos that comes with yet another Patriots Super Bowl run here at Barstool because there is no way someone with a child’s palate will be able to beat Belichick and Brady in the playoffs, regardless of where the game is played.
