Hitting A Half Court Shot At The Buzzer For Your First Division I Win Is As Cool As It Gets

I know the majority of people may not know this, but Cal Baptist is one of two new Division I teams in college basketball this season. The Lancers made the jump from Division II to Division I after making 5 straight Division II Tournaments. So, now Cal Baptist is playing in the WAC and getting to play Division I teams. That’s awesome.

What’s more awesome is the fact that you get your first Division I win by doing this. Perhaps the only thing that would be better is if you’re at home instead of on the road. But, think about it. Oral Roberts misses a free throw. Now it’s time to scramble. Just drill a halfcourt shot instead. And it’s not one of these bank it in and go crazy, just nothing but net from halfcourt. That’s how you do it.

So congrats to Cal Baptist. It doesn’t get cooler than this. I mean think about it, if you’re going to win your first Division I game you want to do it in awesome fashion. It doesn’t get cooler than hitting a halfcourt shot.
