Caps Fan Who Won The 50/50 Raffle Donated Their Entire $19,285 Prize To The Victims And Families of the Tree of Life Synagogue Shooting

The Caps announced prior to the Pens game on Wednesday that they would be donating the 50% from the 50/50 raffle to the victims and families of the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. An awesome idea and gesture and wouldn’t shock me if more teams followed suit. And then, something even more wonderful happened:

They gave it all back. The nearly $20,000. Anonymously too! What an amazing gesture. To win all that money and donate all of it, really, really cool.
