Credit Where It's Due: Upstart Ohio State Is Just One Spot Behind Known Powerhouse Kentucky
I’ll be honest. Some credit where credit is due. It’s tough for a team with a first-year quarterback and a pretty tough schedule to crack the top-10. It’s tough when they have to go on the road and end a weird losing streak. It’s weird when teams are cheering against them. So credit to that upstart Ohio State team for coming in at No. 10 behind the known powerhouse of Kentucky.
Wait, we’re talking football? Silly me. I thought this was basketball.
This is what happens when you have a team that actually believes it will win. This is what happens when you have arguably the best defensive player in the country this year in Josh Allen. Oh, not to mention the defense in general is a top-10 defense nationally. This is what happens when you have a QB that can make plays – despite being called out about his arm and accuracy. This is what happens when you have a running back in Benny Snell that can carry the load for you game in and game out.
So tough to blame Ohio State. Not every team can be in the top-10 and it’s a huge benefit for their program to be listed here. Just something that, as someone who went to Kentucky and lives in Ohio now, makes me pretty excited for the next 4 days.
Just beat Georgia, please. Like, seriously, pretty please.
