Daily Mail- A married politician running for office in Brazil has denied that he is the man featured in a viral video of a hotel room orgy with five women – released just days before the election. Joao Doria, a candidate for the governorship in Sao Paulo, bears a striking resemblance to the individual, filmed spread out on a hotel bed, flanked a bevy of women dressed in lingerie performing sexual favors and drinking champagne in October. The footage has been seen thousands of time since it was posted on social media on Tuesday – just days before the gubernatorial elections on Sunday. But Doria, who once hosted the Brazilian version of The Apprentice, insists that he is not the man in the video and that the rumors had been spread by his political opponent Marcio França.

Voters in Brazil have been split 50-50 as to whether Doria is actually the person seen smiling in the video, receiving a sexual favor from one woman as other sit topless around him. The 60-year-old former television personality, and married father-of-three, has since posted a video statement on Facebook denying it was him and calling for a criminal investigation.

First things first, do I have a link to the video? No I do not. I’m sorry for that. I didn’t do a ton of digging but I’d be willing to bet it’s out there somewhere. I’m not even sure I could put it on our website if I did. Feels like that might get me in trouble but nothing is stopping you from firing up your fingers and seeing what you can find on your own time.

Secondly, shoutout to this politician for going on the offensive and flat out saying it’s not him. It’s a bold stance to say the least. Is that him in the video? I’m not an expert but I do have eyes and it appears to be him. I wanna make it clear that I’m not saying it’s him. I’m saying that my eyes hold the opinion that it is him. I’m allowed to have that opinion. You know what this guy needs to do? He needs to claim that video is one of those Deep Fakes I’ve been hearing so much about lately. Deep Fakes are the fake videos that look super duper real. You can put anyone’s face in any video and it looks super authentic. That’s the route I would go if I were this Brazilian politician who says it’s 100% not him in the video having sex with 5 women. Nobody fully understands how Deep Fakes work so it’s the perfect excuse. Muddy those waters (if it’s not him, which he says it for sure isn’t).

Real question, does his alleged appearance in the video make him more or less popular? Does his alleged appearance make people more or less likely to vote for him? A mere couple years ago the answer would be easy: people would be less likely to vote for him. You couldn’t have sex with 5 women who aren’t your wife and still hold public office. It was a no-no. Now though? We’re living in a completely different political climate. Brazilian voters might be all-in on their (alleged) orgy-having politician. The article says the people of Brazil are split 50-50 on whether or not they think it’s him. He certainly will have the attention of the male voters. Male voters might even think, “Hey, I’ve often though how awesome it would be to have sex with 5 women at the same time” and vote for the guy. Crazier things have happened. We’ll see.
