As Clayton Kershaw takes the mound tonight in Game 1 of the World Series, I thought it was only right to show him some love. This video combines two of the best things in baseball, Vin Scully and  Kershaw. Here we having Scully, who you may have heard of, calling every out of Kershaw's 2014 no-no against the Rockies. This was easily one of the most dominating pitching performances ever. Take a look at each of the outs.
Kershaw obviously went the distance, had 15 (fifteen) strikeouts, walked none, hit no one, and did it all on 107 pitches. This would have been a perfect game, but Hanley Ramirez threw a ball away at shortstop, shocker. Truly an unbelievable performance, and who better to call his first no-no than Vin? That curveball was LOL funny to watch the hitters try and hit, just swinging at nothing up there.
Listening to Vin call the no-no was the best too, he knows not to jinx it by mentioning what was going on, so he would just hint at it saying how many batters in a row Kershaw had retired. He knew what he was doing. It was only right that he ended the night with a swinging strikeout too, a nice way to bookend this one.
When he's on, he's one of the best pitchers in baseball. And since he came into the league in 2008, he's been on. Him vs Sale and that Red Sox lineup should be an unbelievable series, and I'm excited to sit back and watch him attempt to carve up some of the best hitters in the league like Mookie Betts and J.D. Martinez.
