Kareem Hunt Had The Run Of The Season Last Night

I watched this run thirty times and it still doesn’t make sense. Each time, my brain thinks that Hunt gets tackled at the 23 yard line, then magically laterals the ball to another Kareem Hunt who brought his moon boots and isn’t beholden to the laws of gravity. But instead, Dre Kirkpatrick gives him the ol’ do-si-do and slingshots him back up the field like how NASA uses the moon to get rockets home in movies. Hunt basically ran a 25-yard parkour course that included a team of enormous, angry men trying to knock his head off.

Hurdles are always fun to see but you usually see them more on the sideline or when a DB is the last man trying to make a touchdown-saving tackle. Hunt hurdles in the middle of the field, and he should have been planted in the ground. But because it was such a brazen act of foolishness, nobody expected it and the Bengals defense kinda just shut down for a second. Jordan Evans should make this tackle at the 15:

Hunt doesn’t see him coming and, again, he’s in the air. He can’t exactly change direction or accelerate because he can’t fly like a sparrow. But Hunt gets another 12 yards after this because everyone wanted to stand by and watch that beautiful hurdle. And who can blame him? He did the leg-kick thing that Desmond Mason used to do in dunk contests against Jason Richardson that made his dunks look so much cooler.

Love watching the Chiefs. Excited to see them post the best regular-season record and then get bounced immediately from the playoffs.

PS- no more politics. Appreciate your patience. I was going through a phase.
