White House Photographer Pulls One Of The Great Lens Switches In Photography History

Holy shit what a moment and no I’m not talking about Kanye West hugging Donald Trump in the Oval Office. I’m talking about this photog pulling off one of the great switches in the history of photography. Tight lens to wide lens faster than a speeding bullet. They say greatness is when preparation meets opportunity aka when you’re sitting two inches away from the president of the United States, holding the tight lens but with the wide lens hanging from your neck, and Kanye West gets up to hug Donald Trump the president. Lesser men would fold. Would fumble and miss it. Not this guy. I’ve seen Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel (in pictures); I’ve seen Tiger’s chip-in on 16 at Augusta; I’ve seen Tom Brady comeback down 28-3 in the Super Bowl; and now I’ve seen this White House photographer switch tight to wide lens, skipping zero beats, and capture the shot. Amazing.

PS — Great catch by Budda Ben. Game recognizing game.
