In A Shocking Twist, It Appears Jimmy Butler Has Changed His Mind!
How many Jimmy Butler blogs are too many Jimmy Butler blogs? I hope we never find out! What a turn of events coming from Shams right there. After all that bullshit, all the drama, all the fractured relationships, Jimmy Butler may end up staying in MIN all along. I’m sure that will go great! Forget the fact that they probably lied to KAT and told him they were going to trade him in order to get KAT to sign his extension, I see no way this still doesn’t end up in complete shambles.
Sure, from a basketball standpoint and a wins and losses standpoint the Wolves are obviously better with Butler than without. What I found funny is he had to declare that “he runs this”. Uhh yeah no kidding dude that’s why they traded for you. You are their best player. We all know they are hot trash without you in the lineup, so what’s the point of that? To give KAT/Wiggins one final reminder that they are bitches and this is his team until the season is over and he ultimately leaves? Great idea!
And honestly, to me this doesn’t mean he still can’t get traded. So he committed to not sitting out real games, very noble of him, but for the franchise there’s no way they can hold onto him after February right? At least in theory. Where things get sticky is that if everyone is healthy this MIN team can be a real contender (sort of). At least a top 4 team in the West. That’s why I never understood why he was throwing this temper tantrum all summer. Like sure, we know Wiggins/KAT don’t compete at his same level, but that’s why he’s Jimmy Butler and they aren’t. But together they were still a really good team in a brutal conference. He talked all about wanting to win, but every team on his destination list is hot trash. It never really made all that much sense.
I want to know what his beef is with management. Did they tell him they won’t max him this summer or something? They gave up real, actual pieces to bring him in, and very much wanted him to be the leader of this team, so what’s the problem? Thibs even signed all his old former Bulls teammates to make him feel comfortable. So bizarre. My theory is he caught wind of MIN sending him to Siberia or something (SAC). Now all the sudden he’s back and ready to roll. Very interesting.
On some level I’m happy for MIN fans, they deserve good things after suffering for so long with this team, especially after they finally had a taste of success. But if anyone thinks all the issues are resolved and things are all rainbows and butterflies in the MIN locker room, well now you’re just being stupid.
