Marshawn Lynch has to have the highest approval rating out of all NFL players, right? Actually let me quantify that correctly. Marshawn Lynch has to have the highest approval rating out of all NFL players for people that aren’t sticks in the mud, right? I’m sure there are still plenty of people that are mad at him from his Super Bowl press conference answers and stuff like that. However, a good chunk of those people are Big J Journos that have blood feuds against NFL teams for not opening the free soda machine early enough on Sundays and the rest are Skip Bayless clones that yell at clouds about how today’s players disrespect the game for reasons.
But for the rest of us normal people, Marshawn Lynch is a legend on the field and off of it, from his style of running through a motherfucker’s face, to intentional comedy, to unintentional comedy, to memes, and so on. I mean here is a quick Marshawn Lynch dopamine dump I put together quickly since we are all still worn out from last night’s Yanks/Sox game and I figured a bunch of videos would be a lot more fun than actually listing out why Marshawn is the best.

So not only is Marshawn super entertaining on the field and off of it with the greatest nickname in all of sports, but he is also a goddamn sweetheart that will literally give you the shirt bag off his back at a moment’s notice. Suddenly the Seahawks allowing Marshawn to unretire and join his hometown Raiders instead of forcing him to stay in Seattle until the Raiders offered more than a swap of a 5th for a 6th makes a lot more sense. He pretty much turns Doug Baldwin into Stan while retelling that story. The one downside to Marshawn’s career is that he didn’t get to stay in Buffalo and become the Messiah for #BillsMafia that the internet deserved to see. One of the all-time great What Ifs.
TL;DR- God bless Marshawn Lynch. Now will people start giving him the ball at the one-yard line because it’s starting to get fucking crazy.
