This is a Friendly Reminder To The New York Yankees That The Game Starts at 8:07 Tonight

I honestly have no words for Severino not knowing what time the game started yesterday. How does something like that happen in a regular season game, never mind a postseason start against the Red Sox? It goes right to the top of one of the more bizarre things I’ve ever seen in baseball. As John Flaherty described, starting pitchers generally start their warmups about 30-35 minutes before first pitch. Severino typically doesn’t throw much in the actual bullpen (20 or so pitches facing two hitters), so what he got in there was definitely normal, but his other warmups did not happen.

The video clearly shows Severino being told by moron pitching coach Larry Rothschild that the game starts at 7:40 when it was already 7:28. Sevy first enters the bullpen at 7:32, basically skipping his long toss. I mean what the fuck man? How does no one tell him, hey dude the game is starting soon what are you doing? A coach, fellow starting pitcher who knows his routine, a teammate, an employee. ANYONE! How do you not know the start time? It has to be everywhere in the clubhouse and the stadium. That is just insane. Boone, Sevy, and Rothschild deflected the story afterwards, but it was very obvious Severino did not get his long toss in and wasn’t fully loose.

I watched this clip of A-Rod joking with Gary not knowing the start time on Sunday night, but now it’s just sickening.

It also appears Severino was tipping his pitches and the Sox hitters had a great idea of what was coming.

Whatever, flush it away, let the big dog in CC eat tonight and win this game. Don’t say die tonight, just fight back.
