Penny Hardaway Is Already Cheating At The NCAA Level And I Love It
So Memphis had its Midnight Madness over the weekend and obviously there was a ton of hype. That’s what happens when the prodigal son returns home and the crowd is fired up. It also helps that arguably the No. 1 player in the Class of 2019, who is from Memphis and is deciding between Memphis and Kentucky is at the event.
Now, this is where Penny Hardaway and Memphis is embracing the NCAA culture by cheating. That’s right, the Tigers cheated with James Wiseman at Midnight Madness. You see, you can’t show a recruit on the Jumbotron. That’s a violation. Thankfully the NCAA is worried about that over some other logical rule changes.
Now, the NCAA isn’t going to hand down sanctions for this because that’s at least one logical thing they do. But, it’s good to see Penny working on getting Memphis back to relevancy. That program is one that should always be relevant and it will just make the American a better conference.
I just hope there are no reports coming out that Wiseman was also given a bagel with cream cheese. That’d be too much for the NCAA to handle.
