1300 Guys Behaved So Badly Aboard A Cruise Ship That Royal Caribbean Had To Offer All Its Passengers A Full Refund
Source - Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines reportedly issued full refunds to passengers who complained that their experience was ruined by at least 1,300 employees of Indian gutka company Kamla Pasand.
Australian website 9news reports: “The lavish Voyager of the Seas was turned into the “voyager of the sleaze” shortly after leaving port when roughly 1,300 employees from Indian company Kamla Pasand took over the ship’s pool decks and bars – blocking shocked passengers from many parts of the 140,000 tonne vessel.”
You know what’s worse than being on a cruise? Being on a cruise with 1300 blacked out dudes going wild on the pool deck.
Some websites described the men as ‘rowdy’. The men apparently went into a ‘frenzy’ around the women entertainers dressed as Playboy bunnies and ‘jigged and jived’ on the deck, forcing other passengers to leave these spaces.
They alleged that the other passengers had to huddle into restaurants and other quieter parts of the vessel because the decks, pools and bars were all taken over by the employees of the Indian company. Reports say the company had apparently also hired burlesque dancers. Some customers told reporters that they were not comfortable with women in tiny bunny costumes gyrating to loud music on the decks.
Who gets worked into a frenzy over Playboy models? I get that women in India typically cover up, but my God use the free Wifi, turn on some Pornhub and rub one out. No need to “jig and jive” all over the stage. Maybe it’s a cultural thing or maybe it’s the mob mentality, but I genuinely don’t understand how things got so out of hand. Was the staff to afraid to say anything? Was there a language barrier?
Poor families were just trying to take the kids on vacation and ended up on the Indian version of the Vikings Love Boat. One report even said that some of the dudes were filming unsuspecting female passengers with their phones a la Scottie Pippen circa 1992.
What a nightmare. You’ve got to look at the glass half full, though, and those not involved ended up with a free vacation. So it’s not all bad. Hopefully they learned their lesson and will avoid cruises from here on out.
