Since It's #NationalTacoDay Today, You Know What To Do
Did I know today was #NationalTacoDay when I woke up this morning? Sure didn’t. But that’s the beauty of the internet, now that I know it is in fact the day we as a nation will be celebrating tacos because they are delicious, you know what you have to do. In my opinion today’s celebration is a two step process.
Step 1: Order/make tacos
This can be anything. Chicken, beef, chorizo, carnitas, doesn’t matter. You can be fancy and make them yourself or you can hit up your favorite establishment that sells them. Either way, you’re having tacos for dinner.
Step 2: Buy a Taco Jay T-shirt
You may think Step 1 is the most important part of today, but you’d be wrong. If there was ever a day to help support the cause, today is that day. We all like sports on BarstoolSPORTS right? Well do your part to keep them here.
In all honesty, we can admit Jayson Tatum has struggled a little bit this preseason. His shot need our help. Now while I can’t prove it, I feel like we as a fanbase need to cover all our bases in an effort to help him snap out of this funk. How do we do that? We make sure opening night is filled with these bad boys
You see, Tatum is clearly at peace when he is eating his tacos. We need to make sure he is in the right frame of mind come October 16th, and I would imagine seeing these all over the arena will do just that. You can think I’m crazy, but you can’t say it with 100% certainty so do you want to be the reason Tatum struggles on Opening Night? I didn’t think so.
I also saw some confusion from some Celtics fans about the Taco Jay phenomenon. Ummmm, guys, are you even paying attention? Not a day goes by where Tatum doesn’t express his love for tacos on social media. Internet stalk a pro athlete for me one time would ya?
So look, don’t think of it as helping me afford to put food on Walter’s table by buying a shirt. Think of it as you just doing your part to ensure Tatum has a gigantic leap in Year 2. You don’t want that blood on your hands if he struggles, trust me. That’s not a threat, I’m just saying you don’t want it.
