Tonight Starts A Monster Run For Boston Sports Fans
There are a lot of weekends that get national love for best sports weekend. You’ve got your March Madness folks, NFL Wild Card weekenders, and the Kentucky Derby always catches a lot of love. But I’ll tell you what, I am very jacked up for this weekend in Boston and I’d put it up against any of those. The Bruins drop the puck on the NHL season against the Stanley Cup champs with Cup hopes of their own, Edelman and the Patriots are back and taking on an old rival on Thursday night, then we’ve got Chris Sale and David Price leading the 108 win Red Sox in the ALDS (potentially against the Yankees), all topped off with a Conor McGregor cherry (he’s Irish. You may have heard there are a lot of Irish people in Boston so we’re claiming him). If you truly believe there’s a better sports lineup possible then god be with you, but I’m taking this over anything that my mind can imagine.
It’s so good that I’m taking the reins from Marty Walsh and declaring it a four day weekend in Boston. Get your shit done at the office in the next three hours because from here on out it’s party time. I can’t legally do that but it’s a technicality and any job that doesn’t the honor the words of a stupid blogger isn’t one worth having anyway, so it would be worth getting fired.
Go to the bar tonight, ask for a cot in the back, and have yourself a weekend, which starts today.
