We Got A Goalie Goal

We got a goalie goal. Even though it happened in the NIHL in England, which is basically the AHL of England, it’s the 2nd tier of professional hockey in England. So it’s basically your local beer league. But regardless, we got a goalie goal and it is my duty as one of the hockey bloggers here at barstool sports to blog about it.

The goal was scored by Richie Lawson of the Whitley Warriors who play in the NIHL. Poor Lawson. Kid has to beg Bauer for a new stick. Can someone please send this kid a new stick? I’d hang the stick on the wall too and never touch it again. But can you even buy hockey sticks in England? You definitely have to buy stuff online. It must be a nightmare over there when you fuck up your equipment and can’t just drive two minutes to the store to get it fixed. I still can’t believe Biz played there doing the lockout.

Anyways, goalie goals are like goalie fights. It’s like when a linemen scores in football, it’s awesome. For the obvious reason that we never see it, and for the reason goalies are weirdos and we are probably going to get a weird goalie celly.

This guy? Actually, put on a decent celebration. Little knee drop, looks like he might of mixed in an ice touch. Not bad at all. Maybe in England the goalies are the only normal ones out there, who knows.

These guys can’t get paid though, right? There is more people at your towns local rink watching a youth hockey game on a Saturday morning than this. Can’t knock the hustle though, these are the definition of hockey guys.
