Look at Bill Self out here having a grand ole time at Kansas’ Midnight Madness. I mean, I don’t necessarily blame him. All he does is win the Big 12, make some Final Fours and get into the Hall of Fame. Not too shabby if you ask me. Oh, he’s also bringing in massive recruits. Pretty solid job by Bill.

But, this? This is pretty good by Self. He nails the McConaughey impression, that’s for sure. But, my favorite part? The jab at Perry Ellis. I mean sure everyone makes the Perry Ellis is old joke all the time. But, your former coach sneaking the jab in there? That’s A+ stuff.

Self has good reason to be excited for this season. The Jayhawks are loaded. He should be out here making jokes. That’s what happens when you get Udoka Azubuike back. That’s what happens when you bring in the Lawson brothers from Memphis. That’s what happens when you bring in Charlie Moore from Cal. That’s what happens when you bring in the No. 5 recruiting class led by David McCormack, Devon Dotson and Quentin Grimes.
