Saw this posted on my friends wall and immediately thought to get the word out to the stoolie nation. Great looking 5yr old German Shepherd. If he doesn’t get a home in the near future, he will need to be put to sleep. Can’t let this happen.

5 year old german shepherd free to good home (West Grove)

CRAIGSLIST – We are needing to find our German Shepherd, Kaiser, a new home. We’ve had him since he was 6 weeks old and it breaks our hearts to have to let him go. He was diagnosed with perianal fistulas in early 2013. The cost of his medication is $100-180/month and he also needs a certain type of food. Unfortunately, we are unable to give him the special care that he needs. We must keep the best interests of our young children our priority.

Kaiser is an amazing dog.. Truly the best dog I’ve ever known. Other than his medical issues, he is absolutely perfect. He stays around, follows commands, and has been housebroken since he was 2 months old. He has a lifetime registration, is neutered and is great with other animals and especially children. He is my 4 year old son’s best friend, which makes it all the more difficult to see him go.

If no one else is able to care for him, we will need to put him down, which I just cannot imagine doing to such an amazing companion. Please help.

Heart wrenching. You all know the drill by now. Personally I would be more inclined to care for the dog than the kids, but I can see each family has different priorities. Let’s see if we can get this German Shepard a caring home he deserves. Need to give this guy a fighting shot instead of getting put down.

PS – Great move naming a German Shepard, Kaiser. Beast is automatically the Emperor of the household.

UPDATE: The family has set up a GoFundMe account in hopes to keep Kaiser in his castle. Here it is: http://www.gofundme.com/kaiser
