The Future Of The Canucks Might Be Different Then We Thought

NHL: FEB 14 Panthers at Canucks

The Bruins ended the Canucks franchise in 2011. They haven’t been the same since. From the top of the NHL to the complete bottom. Finishing the season at the bottom of the Pacific division with only one team below them, the Arizona Coyotes. Things haven’t been looking too great in Vancouver. Lovely city, but from a Hockey stand point, it has stunk. But maybe that won’t be the case going forward.

Like I said in previous blogs, I overreact in the preseason. It’s what I do. Hockey is finally back so I turn into a complete weirdo and just watch preseason hockey all day/night like a loser. So I am about to overreact about the Canucks, who keep going viral this off season.

First it was Elias Pettersson at practice.

Then Pettersson again, this time against Ryan Strome.

And now we have another crazy video of the Canucks (Pettersson) doing something awesome.

So maybe the Canucks don’t suck after all. The guys made a point of it on Spittin’ Chiclets this week as well, the team might have a brighter future than we think. I mean, you got Brock Boeser, who is probably the biggest man rocket in the NHL, probably going to put up 30+ next season. You also have the Hobey Baker winner in Adam Gaudette, out of Northeastern who Canucks fans will absolutely love. Kid is a player. Bo Horvat as well, he has just gotten better and better since he joined the league and is good for at least 20 tucks per season.

The Canucks are still a little ways off (a lot). But they have some big name prospects who if they pan out to be what they should be, they might actually have something here in the lovely city of Vancouver.
