A Guy Got Picked Up By Uber And His Driver Was Hammered Drunk So He Drove Himself Home

SFGate- An Uber passenger in India claims that his driver was so drunk, he had to take the wheel and drive himself home. Surya Oruganti tweeted about the incident, which occurred in the city of Bengaluru, the capital of the southern state of Karnataka. He said that when he boarded the Uber vehicle at Kempegowda International Airport, he immediately realized that the driver was a different person from the one indicated in the app and that he was about-to-pass-out drunk. Rather than allow the inebriated driver to continue, Oruganti had him move over to the passenger seat, and he designated himself driver for the trip.

Pay that man his money! He did the work. He drove himself home. I’m serious. That drunk Uber driving better be sliding into the guy’s Venmo with that money when he wakes up. That’s only fair. For real though, it would SUCK to call an Uber to pick you up at the airport then end up having to drive yourself home. I’d be so steaming mad if that happened to me. Getting off a plane and sliding into a comfortable Uber home is sneaky one of the best feelings ever. You just got done traveling and doing god knows what bullshit on the road so the Uber home is the first chance you get to relax. Not for this fella. He got picked up by Boozy McBoozehound and ended up having to drive himself home. Fuck that. I’d steal his car.

What did the guy do with the drunk Uber driver once he got to his house? That’s what I’d like to know. Did he call the Uber driver an Uber or did he let the guy sleep it off in his driveway? The driver was probably pumped when he woke up though. He got to get drunk, he got to take a nap and he got the cash. That’s good work if you can get it.
