Josh Gordon Has Been A Patriot For About 5 Minutes And Is Already Winning

Maybe you guys have heard, but apparently Josh Gordon is a Patriot. You can learn more about that here and here. Jerry will break down the Xs and Os of this signing and all that, which I can’t wait to read. But why do I, the basketball blogger, care about this signing? Well as soon as news broke Gordon took us back to one of my most favorite runs in recent memory. That time where we saw a beautiful friendship form between Terry and Drew Bledsoe while at the same time the complete destruction of another NBA player.

I tend to live by the rule of thumb that if you’re on the Rozier bandwagon you are not only very intelligent, but you are able to recognize greatness when it’s staring at you in the face. Gordon could have put anything in that Instagram story, a picture of Brady, a Pats logo, a SB trophy, whatever. The fact that he went Rozier, a clear cut New England fan favorite, but also with a little tie back to Ohio (where Terry is from) was a nice touch. And I agree, you see all those stock charts? Not a huge finance guy but that reads to me like things are on the up and up. Was Gordon talking about his time in NE or is he just confirming what we already know, which is Terry is about to have a breakout season (again)? Hard for me to find the fault in his logic there.

If there was any doubt surrounding this signing, it’s good to see we don’t have to worry about that anymore. Josh Gordon gets it, and this was simply our first sign.

However, based on my research of Terry’s snapchat over the years, let’s just say we should keep these two away from each other for a little bit. Win a Super Bowl and then hang out is all I ask.
