The Best Pass Today Was Made On A Basketball Court By Dennis Schroder To Force Overtime

I know, I know. Sundays are for football. But, this is the best pass of the day and I can’t find where I’m lying. With Germany down 2 to Israel during FIBA World Cup qualifying, they let Schroder do his thing. FIBA World Cup qualifying is going on all over the world right now – USA plays again tomorrow vs Panama – and Schroder is one of the biggest names playing in qualifying, so it’s awesome to see him do something like this. Germany is currently 8-0 in its group which consists of Greece (also 8-0), Serbia, Georgia, Israel and Estonia.

The basketball nerd in me loves going back and watching the play develop. There’s a lot of action on the near-side, which is just fake motion. There’s a screen and a wheel to the top. Then the key is the guy at the bottom sealing his guy letting Kleber get to the rim. Just an awesome play from start to finish.

Germany went on to win in overtime as Schroder had 30 points and 13 assist.
