I don’t know man. That didn’t do it for me. I really wanted to love it. I’ve been listening to Eminem murder people for two decades now. Nothing makes me happier than watching the white boy go to work on people like a surgeon. KILLSHOT ain’t it. Folks gathered around when we played it out loud in the office just now and people started walking away before it was over. That’s never a good sign for a diss track.

Quite honestly, Eminem might’ve fucked this one up. You can tell from the Sway interview he did that he was conflicted about whether or not he should go at MGK. Because yes, if you punch down on somebody, you are going to make them a bigger deal than they were before. So when Eminem decides to diss MGK, MGK is going to get bigger because of it. That’s how it works in hip hop and every other walk of life. Em said he gave him a career to destroy it. Not sure that’s gonna happen.

On KILLSHOT Em keeps talking about how he’s sold more records than MGK and how he has more fans. That’s good. Those are the points he needs to keep hitting on. When Em said, “My biggest flops are your greatest hits” I nodded my head in approval. That’s the shit he needs to say because it’s true. Eminem was more than likely MGK’s idol growing up. Posters on the wall and everything. There’s not much MGK can say in response to that. Everything else like the Halsey stuff and the man bun jab? Whack.

The more I talk about it the more I’m confused as to why Eminem went at MGK at all. I mean I know they have a past but it’s like he forgot that he’s Eminem. He’s 45 years old now, has millions of dollars and millions of records sold. No matter what he said he was gonna be painted as the old man yelling at clouds. The next generation is never gonna take his side. Of course they respect him. He’s a top-5 dead or alive but they’re not gonna lay down while he fires shots at their style. Maybe Eminem just likes the sport of it. I appreciate him being so petty that he couldn’t hold his tongue. That’s the Eminem I love but he might’ve positioned himself wrong here.

PS- The Diddy/Pac line is some shit huh? Whoever plays Killshot for Diddy better be holding a camera. Ricochet shot.
