Contrary To Multiple Reports, Hurricane Florence Is NOT Filled With Sharks

AL- There are plenty of things to worry about when it comes to Hurricane Florence. High winds. Potentially devastating storm surge. The possibility for massive flooding. But sharks? That’s something you don’t have to worry about. Once again, internet rumors are spreading that the storm off the coast of the Carolinas is depositing sharks ala Sharknado, the 2013 TV movie in which the sea predators struck Los Angeles. The Florence shark rumor even has its own “breaking news” alert, though a quick scan shows the same image was used during Hurricane Irma. Similar shark-hurricane rumors have popped up during other hurricanes.

Internet rascals done did it again! They’re out there spreading #FakeNews about there being sharks inside Hurricane Florence. I almost put “unfortunately” in that blog headline because sharks in a hurricane would be fucking AWESOME to see but Hurricane Florence is a very serious matter and we don’t know how bad the damage is gonna be yet. Looks like it’s gonna be super bad so that sucks. However, I still wanna say that a shark-filled hurricane would be dope but it turns out Hurricane Florence isn’t that hurricane. The internet rascals tricked a bunch of people with fake BREAKING NEWS graphics but again, according to smart people, there are no sharks in the hurricane. Maybe next time. Finger crossed.

Now with all that said, how do they know there’s no sharks inside Hurricane Florence? Can they say with 100% certainty that there’s not a single shark spinning around up in that hurricane? I don’t think they can. There’s no way of knowing for sure. There might sharks in there and they just don’t know yet. Filled with sharks like some Sharknado shit? I find that unlikely. One or two sharks in there? I’d go ahead and say that’s likely. I’d be willing to bet they’re gonna find at least one shark on a highway or on top of a building. Bet it.
