The Detroit Lions Fan Fight Summarizes Decades Of Sadness

This is just the most Detroit Lions fan fight possible. No energy, no solid punches, no real anything besides empty swings and years upon years of frustration. You think you’re about to see something awesome and just like the team on the field, it falls flat. You’re expecting a haymaker and it just never delivers.

And you can’t blame them. The last time the Lions won the Super Bowl was 1957, before the Super Bowl was even created. They’ve never won a real Super Bowl, one of only 4 teams with the new Browns, the Jags, and the Texans. That’s it. The Lions have been around for longer than those teams combined (I think, I don’t want to do the math though). They haven’t won a playoff game since 1991. Wanna feel old? That’s closer to the moon landing than to today. Woof!

The Lions are a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad franchise. Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson retired early in their careers after playing for the Lions. Matt Stafford is getting paid 3 trillion dollars to throw INTs. Joey Harrington’s best skill was playing the piano. They drafted a first round WR in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2007. One panned out. Also one was Charles Rogers. The Lions are abysmal, always have been, and it doesn’t look like anything is changing.

At least their jerseys are cool though. Have always loved those blue jerseys and silver helmets.
