Bracket: Best Movie Theater Candy - Round Two
The second round of the BEST MOVIE THEATER CANDY bracket has been revealed. We actually had more upsets than I expected, especially in the West Region. Today we will be breaking down the matchups by the look of each of the candies in the bracket.
All candies and seeds were determined by an audience vote. We had zero input and will have no input on the actual voting each round. I will submit my opinion and pick, but they do not determine the actual winner. We just decided to give our thoughts below. Each region is broken down below, with the vote at the end of this post. Enjoy!
1. Peanut M&M’s vs. 4. Gummy Worms
It was all chalk in this matchup and those bum ass raisins got dominated by Peanut M&M’s.
Peanut M&M’s are probably the ugliest versions of M&M’s, but when you know it is the peanut inside, you just get over it. Gummy Worms are pretty great looking candies, though.
The colors always pop and it is the quintessential candy look. Despite the advantage on the look, the Peanut M&M’s taste is superior and wins for me.
Pick: 1. Peanut M&M’s
-
3. Plain M&M’s vs. 2. Reese’s Pieces
This is like a Hatfield-McCoy battle right here. Chocolate against peanut butter is never a fun matchup, it’s just a fun pairing.
M&M’s are basically the coverboys of the candy world. They look perfect.
I love the color orange. I have to pick Reese’s Pieces for the look and the win here. It’s hard for me to beat chocolate, and it might be because I am craving them right now, but I will give the nod to Reese’s.
Pick: 2. Reese’s Pieces
1. Sour Patch Kids vs. 4. Mini Reese’s Cups
No shockers in the first-round matchups for these candies. I think Sour Patch Kids will win this tournament and they might be the best-looking candy in the entire bracket.

I am a fan of Sour Patch Kids but I like the look more than the flavor. Weird take, I know. Meanwhile, we all know that Reese’s Cups look good, but the taste is its real skill.
Ah man, I know Sour Patch Kids look the best and are the popular pick, but I need to go with Reese’s here.
Pick: 4. Mini Reese’s Cups

3. Watermelon Sour Patch Kids vs. 2. Twizzlers
What the fuck are we even doing here
Look at those things. Beautiful. Now look at these things…
Terrible. Even if you like Twizzlers, you can’t tell me that they look appetizing. They’re just weird red ropes. Pass!
Pick: 3. Watermelon Sour Patch Kids
1. Skittles vs. 4. Peanut Butter M&M’s
Skittles almost got 100% of the vote against Dots. That isn’t surprising, but it is still hilarious. You could argue that Skittles have the best colors and are the best-looking candies in the bracket.
I, personally, hate the purple Skittle. I think it is ugly and fucks everything up. On the other hand, all hail our thicc kings…
Peanut Butter M&M’s are my favorite type of M&M’s and their thicc, round frame with peanut butter insides get my vote.
Pick: 4. Peanut Butter M&M’s

6. Sour Skittles vs. 2. Buncha Crunch
Goodbye raisins! Both raisins products got bounced early here and I am happy as can be about it. Sour Skittles is such a far superior product than Raisinets and it got its due with a first-round win.
Much like their cousins, Sour Patch Kids, Sour Skittles have a great color and shine to them. Buncha Crunch, on the other hand, is probably the ugliest product in the bracket.
Do not judge a book by its color. Buncha Crunch is one of the best candies period, not just in the movie category. This is an easy pick for me.
Pick: 2. Buncha Crunch
1. Cookie Dough Bites vs. 5. Junior Mints
Nice win for Cookie Dough Bites, sure, yeah, whatever, but how about those Junior Mints, folks!? Great upset over Gummy Bears in a landslide victory. The chocolate-mint hate is out of control.
The gooey inside and shiny dark chocolate is a great site to look at when consuming those delicious candies. When it comes to Cookie Dough Bites, the inside is nearly as disappointing as the outside.
I want the insides of cookie dough bites to look like cookie dough. They taste great, but the Bites don’t hold a candle to Junior Mints.
Pick: 5. Junior Mints
-
6. Sno-Caps vs. 7. Hot Tamales
More upsets! Milk Duds being in this bracket, let alone being a 3-sed, was a total joke. Sno-Caps is a perfect movie candy and deserved the upset.
This candy just screams “movie theater” and smashed Milk Duds with 82% of the vote. The other upset for Hot Tamales was very unexpected.
The bright red is pretty intriguing, but I have to go with Sno-Caps. I can’t believe Swedish Fish lost, but I think it’s a pretty overrated candy, so I am glad to see it go.
Pick: 6. Sno-Caps
