If Herm Edwards Keeps Screaming "Leave It On The Grass" To His Players Then ASU May Never Lose a Game

Last night the Arizona State Sun Devils hosted #15 Michigan State in a little Pac 12 after dark special. I don’t think Sparty knew what they were getting into. I believe ASU entered as a 4 point home dog to State. That was until I saw ASU come out of the tunnel led by their fearless leader Herm Edwards. The camera panned to him as he was surrounded by his players and all he kept yelling with the most serious face was “LEAVE IT ON THE GRASS!”

At that moment in time ASU, in my mind, became the favorite. Between a crowd that was pretty much a zoo all night, a blackout amongst the fans, ASU’s fire black jerseys, and Herm, Sparty stood no chance in claiming victory last night.

They did enter the 4th quarter leading 13-3, but then the Herm magic set in. ASU scored 13 unanswered to beat Michigan State 16-13. N’Keal Harry, a stud receiver in his junior year, decided he was better than everyone else on the field. This touchdown grab to tie the game with 8:45 left in the game almost brought the stadium down.

What a win to start Herm’s career in ASU. He said post-game that the message is to “stay humble and to stay hungry.” All aboard the Herm train. He’s coming out of the gates full speed ahead. Oh and fuck Michigan State.
