Donald Trump Tweeted That Tiger Woods Is Playing Great Golf Again And He's Right
So after the Northern Trust yesterday Tiger was asked some questions about President Trump. Tiger responded by saying this:
“Well, he’s the president of the United States. You have to respect the office,” Woods said. “No matter who is in the office, you may like, dislike personality or the politics, but we all must respect the office.”
So he sorta gave a non-answer because why the fuck would Tiger wade into those waters at all? He doesn’t need to. We’ve talked about it before when the topic of professional golfers being friendly with Donald Trump has come up. It makes more sense for a guy like Tiger Woods to be friends with Trump than to be his enemy. Rich and powerful guys are friends with other rich and powerful guys. That’s how the world works. Anybody hoping Tiger was gonna put his foot down and rip Trump to shreds is an idiot. That’s never gonna happen. Trump and Tiger are friends. Maybe they don’t agree on everything but Tiger has never been a guy to talk about politics publicly. No need to start now.

Then this morning Trump tweeted in support of what Tiger said. He even said that Tiger is playing great golf again which he is. So we’re all on the same page there. Also, did that reporter actually think he was gonna trip up Tiger Woods and get him to say something controversial about the president? No chance. Tiger has been doing this shit for 20+ years. He’s a master at giving non-controversial answers.
