The Good People Of #BillsMafia Thanked Andy Dalton For Getting The Bills Into The Playoffs Last Season By Giving Him A Standing Ovation Before Today's Game

Pretty cool sports moment in Buffalo this afternoon. For those that don’t remember, Andy Dalton and the Bengals became heroes in Western New York after playing to win a meaningless Week 17 game against the Ravens last season and giving us an all-time great ending to a Week 17 game (unless you are a Ravens fan).

This caused #BillsMafia to pay Dalton back with straight cash homie to his foundation

While the Bill shipped the local delicacy of the region to Cincinnati, which from what I can gather is a slight upgrade over Cincy’s delicacy of Skyline Chili

Then tonight the fans got to thank Dalton and the Bengals in person for the first Bills playoff game in almost 2 decades while Dalton’s foundation got to then pay it back with donations to the Buffalo Pediatric Center

Which will then lead back to more donations being made in Cincinnati

People helping people helping people because a football team won a game the last week of the season. You gotta love it (again, unless you are a Ravens fan. Actually even if you are a Ravens fan with a soul). Sure that win may have sentenced Bengals fans to another 10 years of the Marvin Lewis Era in Cincinnati and none of us will ever be able to erase the bad football from our brains during that Bills/Jags rock fight in the Wild Card game. But I love how one cursed NFL team could help another, which led to people donating to charity, which led to a good old fashioned donate off, and damn this is all awesome.

The biggest winner in all this may be Andy Dalton too. There is no fanbase I would want to have my back more than #BillsMafia. They are the wildlings of the NFL. Absolute savages from the great white North armed with flaming tables, condiments, and a heart. Raiders Nation is probably number 2 on that list, but they don’t strike me as nearly as happy go lucky as Bills fans. The red headed quarterback and the red headed fan base of the NFL making magic happen off the field because Tyler Boyd circled the wagons on a miracle play in Week 17 is what sports is all about. You gotta love stories like this and you gotta love #BillsMafia. Simply the best NFL fan base there is.
