Jaguars Rookie DJ Chark Is Looking Pretty, Pretty Good Against The Best Cornerback In The League

I realize that’s only two clips but it’s enough evidence for me to say that DJ Chark might lead the league in receiving this year. Well, maybe not but he is having a chance to work on his biggest weakness this training camp.

Coming into the league, the biggest knock on ole DJ was that he STUNK catching balls in contested areas. He was a speedster who had long strides and could really separate when the offensive line allowed the quarterback enough time to let routes develop. The problem is that LSU didnt have a quarterback who could make those throws. The Jaguars do. The BOAT. Ever heard of him? Between 2nd year player and unexpected surprise Keelan Cole and DJ Chark, the Jaguars have two guys who can threaten defenses on deep routes.

If Chark and Cole can provide an over-the-top threat while allowing Dede Westbrook, Marquis Lee, to work inside with new weapon Austin Seferian-Jenkins stretching the boundaries in other packages, defenses wont be able to stack the box against Leonard Fournette, who also looks lighter and faster; he’s down to 223lbs which is the smallest he’s been since high school. Just the changes at WR and TE should be enough to help Leonard have an even better sophomore season, but the Jaguars also upgraded at Left Guard. Patrick Omameh is supplanted by All Pro Andrew Norwell. Nice.

All that to say, Miles Jack wasnt down and the Jaguars are clearly going to the Super Bowl.
