Yoenis Cespedes Will Have Surgery On Both Heels And Is Expected To Miss 8-10 Months Because The Mets Are Fucking Assholes
We have officially made it to the point of the Mets season where they fuck up things so significantly in a lost year that it effects future seasons. Awesome! This entire Cespedes heel saga has carried on forever. First opinions, second opinions, tenth opinions all while the Mets said it wasn’t a big deal. Kawhi Leonard probably had more faith in the Spurs doctors than Cespedes has in the Mets medical staff and he is under their control until after the 2020 season. What a goddamn joke. To be honest, I don’t think we ever see Yo wear a Mets uniform ever again. This feels like the David Wright special. Tons of money invested in a very important and beloved player, followed by setbacks off the field and misery on the field. Yo getting this surgery now instead of after another 2 months of waffling by the Mets is actually kind of an upset. Are you guys sitting down for the reason for the delay in surgery?

Oh so that makes sense. While it sucks the Mets will be without Yo, at least they can try to acquire players better than Jay Bruce and Todd Frazier for next season, right?
You know what? Hats off to the Wilpons. They are running the biggest scam in Major League Baseball right in front of our eyes and nobody from the MLB offices on down have the guts to do anything about it. And as if trying to make your best position player return in a lost season only to see him go down for an extended period is bad enough, there were also all those leaks about the Mets saying Yo didn’t want to come back. PR shrewdness on the level of Littlefinger that is run by a team of Hodors, so the fans see right through it. We knew Bud Selig would never do anything to the Wilpons after Bernie Madoff undressed them and their bank accounts. And it looks like Rob Manfred is just as gutless.
