What TV Character Duo Is Your Favorite Combo To Watch Interact?

I put this on Twitter yesterday after I finished watching Veep for the first time. My thought process from this tweet was watching Jonah Ryan and Dan Egan interact on the show. They were the perfect ‘enemy’ duo that played off of each other perfectly. The scene during the hearing where all the senators are listing the names that Dan called Jonah was one of the funniest scenes in TV for me.

Now, I posed the question the way I did because I didn’t want to just limit it to only friendly interaction. The key here is that there has to be a good amount of interaction, which eliminates some one-off stuff or something like Creed and Meredith.

Right off the bat my mind went to a handful of different shows. The Office came up first with Michael/Jim, Jim/Dwight, Michael/Toby as possibilities. Then I started thinking of It’s Always Sunny with Frank/Charlie and Mac/Dennis. Other shows that pop up right away were Entourage, New Girl and Seinfeld with some easy combos there.

If I’m going by category (which wasn’t the question, but to add some context here) I’d probably go as follows:

Family – Doug Heffernan/Arthur Spooner (King of Queens)
Friends – Charlie Kelly/Frank Reynolds (It’s Always Sunny)
Enemies – Jonah Ryan/Dan Egan (Veep)
Spouses – Andy Dwyer/April Ludgate (Parks and Rec)

Overall though, I think it’s still Charlie and Frank for me. They are the perfect interaction. They were a popular answer I got along with Jim/Dwight, JD/Turk, Norm/Cliff and Ari/Lloyd. So, who are you going with?
