DeMar DeRozan Is Not Happy About Being Traded Per DeMar DeRozan's Instagram

So, obviously you read the blog and saw that Kawhi is being traded to Toronto for DeMar DeRozan. Now, you check in on DeMar DeRozan this morning and his Instagram story tells you exactly how he feels.

Here’s a hint: he’s NOT happy.

I mean, I get it. He truly embraced Toronto. He was happy there. This is a guy that has talked about his mental health and is awesome for putting that out there, so a person like that being happy is key. Throw in the fact he was wildly successful in Toronto on an individual level with All-Star and All-NBA honors, proves that.

Now he’s being sent to San Antonio, something that most people would be thrilled about. The Spurs have a long history of being a great franchise under Pop and RC Buford, but now they are sort of trying to rebuild without rebuilding. It’s a weird spot.

The question though comes down to what was said to DeRozan. I’m going to guess the Raptors front office told him they weren’t interested in Kawhi or they were interested in him but not going to trade DeMar. Either way, thank you NBA for giving us something on the day without any sports.
