This Sports Bar in the U.K. Might Be The Craziest Place on Planet Earth

Early this morning England faced off against Panama. England was a 2.5 goal favorite in this one sitting at a money line of -500. Being a 2.5 goal favorite in a World Cup game is the equivalent of the Patriots playing the Browns in the playoffs and going off as like a 14 point favorite. Panama is one of the worst teams in the entire tournament and England has so far impressed as one of the dark horses. This is the reaction from HQ Sports Bar (one of the largest sports bars in the U.K. according to their Twitter profile) after England’s first goal in the first few minutes of the game.

I mean did they just win the World Cup in penalty kicks? We’ve got beers flying everywhere, glasses tossed 20 feet into the air probably coming down and hurting people, we’ve got smoke, we’ve got fire, it’s pure chaos. And this was a goal against PANAMA in the group stage…

Did things quiet down? Nope, here is the second goal’s reaction which was Harry Kane’s penalty kick. Madness.

There were actually six England goals scored today, but there’s only video from the first three because I assume the entire bar burnt down in the process. If this is what it’s like against Panama in the group stage then what is this like against a real team in the knockout round when it’s win or go home? I say this a lot, but we think we love sports over here in the States and then we see what life is like for European soccer fans. It’s actually life or death. I can’t imagine how enraged these fans got when Panama scored their first goal of the tournament in the 78th minute to make it 6-1. I assume all the TVs were broken and several people were murdered out of disgust.
