Political Reporter Kelly Cohen's A1 Reaction To Finding Out Barry Trotz Resigned Was Caught In The Middle Of A Senate Judiciary Hearing

Second off–this is the power of live television. It allows you to capture so many incredible moments that are otherwise ir-replicable (I don’t know the right word to use in this situation but that’s the closest I’m going to get). I mean just take another look at this reaction. Poor Kelly Cohen is stuck in this boring ass senate judiciary hearing where it seems like everybody in there wants to blow their brains out. All of a sudden she’s scrolling through Twitter, she’s scrolling through Twitter, and BAM!!!

Bunch of jabronis are up there talking about 3 words per minute about collusion and all of a sudden Kelly Cohen finds out that the Stanley Cup winning head coach is resigning from the team to go get PAID this offseason. Meanwhile she can’t even let out her full emotion because a bunch of old dudes are talking about god knows what and just trying to pass the time before they get to blast their voters in the ass some more. Her self-control is actually extremely impressive here.
Have you ever been the first in a group of people to find something out? Do you know the amount of pure joy and adrenaline you get out of breaking that news to somebody else? Kelly Cohen had an entire chamber of people around her and she was the only one who knew at that moment that Barry Trotz had resigned from the Washington Capitals. If that were me, I wouldn’t be able to hold it in. I’d have to let everybody there know. You have to stop that fucking meeting dead in it’s tracks and let everybody not only know the news, but let them know that you knew it first. I honestly feel pretty bad that she wasn’t able to get that satisfaction.
