Wake Up With Mo Vaughn Hitting A Home Run Halfway Up The Mets Scoreboard

What a mammoth of a man Mo Vaughn was. I could never figure out how a man that large could hit with his sideways in his stance. Seriously. Stand up right now and get in his stance. I can barely stand up, he’s out here hitting moon shots halfway up the Shea Stadium scoreboard.

Look at this damn scoreboard, and Mo hit it off the middle of it. That takes some super human strength.

I mean he absolutely demolishes this ball, and he did that to 327 other balls in his 12 year career. I was young when Vaughn was hitting bombs, but just remember seeing him and thinking “Oh wow, he’s very large.” I didn’t realize he was almost a career .300 hitter too, .293 in his 12 seasons, good for the big man. My favorite thing about Mo Vaughn is that his baseball reference page shows him at 225 pounds. 225!!! Maybe in 7th grade.
