Carmelo Anthony Will Not Stand For Being Called Worse Than Kyle Korver

Players commenting on IG posts seems to be all the rage this offseason and personally I’m here for it. It makes the blogging life a bit easier to have that out here. Now, this is an outrageous claim. There is no way Kyle Korver was a better NBA player than Carmelo Anthony.

No disrespect to Korver at all, who had a pretty damn good career, but let’s take a moment to talk about Melo. He’s one of those guys that no one seems able to have a reasonable take about. You either completely overrate him or wildly underrate him. What I think people forget is how damn good he was early in his career. Sure, people will look at the playoff success, but remember, he was an underdog in most of these series. It wasn’t like he was a 1 or 2 seed losing in the first round.

Now as for this season, I’d be willing to listen to the argument that Korver has been better, though I wouldn’t agree with it. But, to say Melo didn’t have a good NBA career or anything like that is absolutely wild. This is a dude that will be in the Hall of Fame and as much as I appreciate Korver, he’s not that.

Going back and looking at the 2003 Draft it’s still unbelievable. LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Melo, Korver, Mo Williams, David West, Josh Howard, Chris Kaman, Kirk Hinrich, TJ Ford, Boris Diaw, Kendrick Perkins and Leandro Barbosa all selected in that draft. Just unreal.
