After Hitting A Home Run In Five Straight Games, The Marlins Drill Ronald Acuña On The First Pitch Of His First At-Bat, Benches Clear

This is a chicken shit move right here. After homering in five straight games, three straight in his first at-bat of the game, Jose Ureña drilled Ronald Acuña Jr. on the first pitch of his first at-bat of the game. That is such a pussy move. First of all, you’re the Marlins. You’re not trying to rally the boys and light a spark for a postseason run. You’re the Marlins. You’re not going anywhere. You were never going anywhere. It’s not even a matter of being frustrated over a shitty season that could have or should have been much more than it ended up being. Acuña is one of the bright, young stars of this game who has been on a historical run, he’s on an exciting Braves team, he’s been drawing positive attention to the game of baseball, and you’re gonna drill him for hitting some home runs? Get the fuck out of here. Ureña should’ve been tossed for that. There better be retaliation later in the game, and I’d bet there is absolutely going to be.

UPDATE: Acuña had to leave the game. Somebody from the Marlins has to wear one.
