Being an umpire is such an impossible job since you generally only get ripped apart for the terrible calls, meanwhile you are expected to make the right call every time since it’s your job. Well you know what? I’m giving Joe West his own praising blog because going 159/160 at the brisk age of 65 is damn near impossible. Big game Joe still has that eye folks and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Think Angel Hernandez goes 159/160? Not a chance in hell. Probably 100/160.

Also, if your brain is as small as mine and you were wondering why there were only 160 pitches to track of the 299 thrown that’s because this doesn’t take into account foul balls, swings and misses, hits, or batted ball outs because those are automatic calls.
