Hear that?  It’s a TakeQuake.

People have pitched in $4 million and counting for the victims of an absolutely devastating tragedy that claimed fifteen lives and tore families apart and deeply affected an entire community.

But they were youthful white males.  So it’s hard not to be cynical.

This is just my personal opinion but when strangers donate 4 million bucks out of the goodness of their heart, the word “cynical” should not be mentioned within 100 square miles of it.  15 people died.  4 million dollars was raised.  That’s an incredible thing.

The demeaning of charity work is a truly, truly puzzling factor of the internet.  How anyone could see such amazing things being done for other people and spin it into a negative is astounding.  The fact that just pure giving is spun to fit narratives is wild. We get it at Barstool all the time.  We’re constantly mobilizing our rabid fan base to donate to great causes and raise money for those who are less fortunate or going through a hard time.  And every time it’s the same response – well you’re just doing that to deflect from that offensive joke you made in 2007!  Oh you raised a quarter million dollars for the families of deceased hero firefighters?  Well what about what Dave said in his gambling podcast 4 years ago???????  Meanwhile the Stoolies just raised 10K for a child with cancer just because Robbie asked them to.

Can people seriously not put aside agendas for one singularly, overwhelmingly positive thing?

Take it away Pikachu.

Buy a shirt. 100% of proceeds go to the families of the crash victims.  They’ll accept your money no matter what color and age you are.
