WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Fire officials in Texas say a man who apparently was sleeping in a dumpster survived when he and the trash in the bin were dumped into a trash truck, compacted and then hauled to a transfer station.

Workers at the transfer station in Wichita Falls saw the man tumble Friday from the truck into a large garbage pit.

Emergency responders had to lower a basket into the pit to retrieve the unidentified man, who appeared to be conscious when rescued and was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Officials say the man is in his 60s.

Love the weekend! Let he who has never been so drunk that they could literally fall asleep anywhere including a dumpster cast the first stone.

My man here was probably just trying to sleep off a little too much to drink. I’d imagine that he just dominated his fantasy football league and was celebrating just a little too hard with a few tall boy Natty Lights. I dont blame him at all for catching a few hours of sleep in trash after tying one on.

Sleeping in a dumpster isnt that problematic in most circumastances. You can look around for a cozy spot and kinda clear out all of the old food and diapers. You can grab a slightly moldy loaf of bread for a pillow and, once you knock off all the ants, you’re all set for the sleep session of a lifetime. But once you hear that back-up beep noise coming straight at you gotta get the hell outta there. You cant recover from the mental anguish of being trash compacted. Cant. No matter what you do the rest of your life, you will always be the bro who got trash compacted. Awful.

It’s completely understandable that ole boy was found conscious at the bottom of the dumpster. If that happened to me, I’d just stay there too. No reason to get up after you got trash compacted. He knows it. Everybody knows it.
