Spittin' Chiclets Breaks Huge Story And Big Js Suddenly Forget How To Cite

On today's Spittin' Chiclets we're joined by the NHL's first and only Aussie, Nathan Walker of the St. Louis Blues, and Edmonton associate coach Jim Playfair.

Needless to say, Walker did not have a traditional path to the best league on the planet. But moving to the Czech Republic at just 13 took a tremendous amount of balls. You'll enjoy hearing his story. Playfair has some great insight about reaching the modern player and getting to work with McDavid & Draisaitl every day.

The big story of the week just happened to be the one that the Chiclets crew broke Sunday afternoon...

The writing was obviously on the wall. But we didn't have anybody inform us that NHL players wouldn't be going until Sunday afternoon. We shared it immediately. Breaking stories isn't necessarily our forte but occasionally we get an ENG like this. And it happened to be huge.

Hours later, major outlets started Tweeting about the unlikelihood of NHLers going to China and it's been reported everywhere by today. Oddly, almost none have cited the our report (which is Big J 101 stuff).

Fortunately @NHLRumorsDaily is a man of integrity when it comes to the scoop game...

As is our guy Bucci...

Regarding the "initial report", this Tweet was brought to our attention in the last couple days…

Just wanted to include for people to make up their own mind.

Other than the shitty news, it's a fun ep with a pair of interesting interviews. Enjoy.
