Nick Davis, diehard Mets fan and the director of the highly anticipated new 30-For-30 ESPN documentary 'Once Upon a Time in Queens', joined us on today's episode of We Gotta Believe.

We talk all things 1986 Mets that made them the greatest sports team ever when (using Bill James' Greatness Quotient formula of Talent x Wins x Entertainment Value x Urban Legends Involving Sex/Drugs/Rock & Roll) and get a behind-the-scenes look at what it took to get this doc made as well as all the characters who were in it. It's not often that we as Mets fans can get excited about something happening in September, but this doc is going to be must-watch even if the team isn't by the end of the season. Nick gives us his insight on what it was like growing up with that team, how they ingrained themselves into the DNA of the city and how everyone knew that it could all come crashing down at any moment (before Fred Wilpon's increased role in the team literally right after the World Series ensured the dark timeline we have lived in for the last 35 years that Uncle Stevie has pledged to rescue us from).

We also talk the current state of the Mets, how we can never REALLY #TrustTheDiaz without the trumpets and where we think we'll be come October. The fat lady isn't singing yet, but we gotta believe that she's backstage warming up those vocals.

Speaking of vocals, I had to include this gem from the 86 season for any of the young'ns who missed out on it and wrongfully never had it passed down to them by the Mets fans in their life.
