REPORT: The Ottawa Senators Are In Complete Disarray As Mike Hoffman's Girlfriend Has Been Harassing Erik Karlsson And His Wife Melinda Online Over The Death Of Their Child
Ottawa Citizen – Melinda Karlsson has filed an order of protection against the longtime girlfriend of Senators forward Mike Hoffman — alleging a campaign of harassment that plagued the Karlssons after the death of their son and through much of the last NHL season, this newspaper has learned. The application for a peace bond, sworn in front of Justice of the Peace Louise Logue on May 4, alleges that Monika Caryk, Hoffman’s partner, had threatened Melinda (neé Curry) and husband Erik Karlsson from November 2017 to the date the information was sworn to.
It was in late November that the Karlssons announced on social media that they were expecting their first child, a son they would later name Axel Michael who was stillborn on March 19, 2018…The post garnered more than 10,000 comments, with the overwhelming majority of them expressions of support and sympathy for the couple. However, one comment, posted by user @sandydandy45, stood out: “I feel bad for the baby he didn’t have a chance with Melinda popping pain killer medication everyday.”
It took the league’s top defenceman just seven minutes to respond: “How dare you. You have been making fake accounts and buying hacked ones for months to harass me and my wife but this is an all new low even for you. You are a disgusting person.” The user @sandydandy45 has since deactivated that account.
Okay so first off, just for legal purposes, I’d like to mention that everything I’m saying here is all based on this report. I guess it’s all still “alleged” right now and nothing is completely proven at the moment. But still…Second off, I’d highly recommend that everybody takes a look at the full article published by Ottawa Citizen. It is absolutely bat shit and Mike Hoffman’s girlfriend, Monika Caryk, is quite possibly the biggest piece of shit on planet Earth.
I’m sure that everybody remembers when the Karlsson’s unfortunately had to announce that their baby boy, Axel, was stillborn. It’s a heartbreaking tragedy for any set of parents to go through, but you could really tell just how genuinely excited Erik was to bring life into this world. You could tell how ready he was to be a father and you could tell how excited he was to have a baby boy just by the look at him in this Instagram post from the gender reveal.

How anybody could ever have anything but the best wishes for Erik Karlsson and his wife Melinda are beyond me. But Mike Hoffman’s girlfriend, Monika Caryk, apparently isn’t a human. She’s a living pile of garbage shit who would continually make fake accounts to wish harm to the baby and to Melinda. These quotes right here from the article are the worst of the bunch.

“She also uttered that she wished I was dead and that someone should ‘take out’ my husband’s legs to ‘end his career.’
Are you fucking kidding me? I don’t care who you are or what your thoughts are on the word. That right there is the pure definition of a cunt. And here’s the thing–I know that this isn’t Mike Hoffman who is the one saying all of this horrible shit. And I’m sure that he would never think to even say any of these things in his lifetime. But the fact that he could be in a long-term, committed relationship with somebody who does? Well that is a gigantic red flag. Like if Mike Hoffman doesn’t drop this bitch off 200 miles away and block her on absolutely everything, then we have a serious issue on our hands here. But I’d have to imagine that the damage to the relationship between Karlsson and Hoffman is already beyond repair. I mean how can you continue to play with a guy whose girlfriend basically threw a parade that your child was stillborn? You can’t.
So now the Senators have some work to do. Everybody knows that Erik Karlsson becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of next season. And pretty much everything we heard around the trade deadline last year is that he doesn’t exactly have a ton of interest in staying in Ottawa. He, like every hockey player, would obviously love to stay with one team for his entire career. But there just doesn’t seem to be a ton of bridges being built between the organization and the player to keep him there.
On the other side, Mike Hoffman has 2 more years remaining on his contract at around $5.2M. So it’s not like they can just let either of these two guys walk in free agency this summer. And I’d also find it very hard to believe that they can show up to start the season with both of them on the roster. So one of these guys will most likely be getting moved. Will it come at the draft on the 22nd? Will it wait until free agency opens up? Regardless, it has to be more of a “when” than an “if”. What an absolute shit show in Ottawa. And yeah, Mike Hoffman better ditch that bat shit crazy bitch before she completely ruins his career any further. Get your shit together, bud.
