TWITTER EGGGGGGGGS, MOUNT UP!!! It’s about time MTV figured out how to jump into the 21st century. Granted I still watch The Challenge and Jersey Shore was a goddamn rocket ship that will likely never be replicated again. But CT and guidos were in my life way before the year 2000. However making a show devoted to the rivalries that sprout up on the internet is fucking brilliant. So many outstanding grudge matches that we do and don’t know about. I want to see content creators (writing, audio, video, etc.) meet their trolling commenters. Countless Twitter eggs taking on their verified marks. Redditor on Redditor crime. Me vs. The Empire State Building. KFC vs. blind Hondurans that used to write for Al Jazeera. Pres vs. LeBron, Goodell, and Jamie O’Grady in a handicap match. And of course, we could finally have a showdown in Temecula.

I didn’t get to meet Nev from Catfish when he was at Barstool HQ, but I feel like he probably has some Grade-A spy equipment that can crack a few IP Addresses and bring an angry writer to their troll’s front door out of the blue. Cheaters remains the gold standard for TV shows that could make you cringe from awkward situations. But I think this online rivals show could top it since there are so much anonymous assholes in the world. And if the show isn’t cringeworthy, I need it to at least be a real life remake of when Jay and Silent Bob met their commenters.
