The Caps Absolutely Screwed By The Refs On A Disallowed Goal Because He Lost Track Of The Puck Is A Disgrace To The Game Of Hockey

Look, I don’t like to blame refs for winning or losing a game, but this is a disgrace. For a ref to call a play dead because he is out of position and lost track of the puck should be a crime. And what a cop out. “Intent to blow the whistle”. Are you kidding? Refs get to decide games based on where they think the puck is, not where it actually is?

And if you want to try and say Ovi plowed into Mrazek, well, he did, but not until after the puck was in.

It’s just so bad. A disgrace for a playoff game to be decided like this. That should have made it 3-3 with all the momentum. I mean what’s the point of replay if you don’t clearly see Ovi not making contact and hitting the puck in? It’s clear as day.

I just can’t believe how much the refs decided the outcome of this game. And I HATE blaming refs, but objectively they were awful. You can’t decide a game in the 3rd period like that. You just can’t. That type of goal happens 100s of times a season. And not to mention the Orlov phantom “embellishment” call. Dude was dragged down, he hopped right back up, and they called him for a dive? It made no sense. Shame on the NHL. Shame. Shame. Shame.

So we’re on to game 7. Jesus, how did we do this all of last year? Winning the Cup made it worth it, but my god, this is stressful.
